Longings is dedicated to my father, Dwight Roger Gazlay who had a powerful impact in my life growing up as boy and even now as an adult. He sacrificed to provide me with a French horn, piano and French horn lessons, and attended every music performance that my sisters and I were a part of. He was a motivator and encourager, and I miss him so very much. Any accomplishments in my life have been a direct result of his positive influence in my life.
It is my hope that Longings will provide students with a song that they will enjoy learning to play and provide other music educators with a teaching tool that can be used in helping to motivate and encourage their students.
