Hornists rarely need a descant, but when they do it is ESSENTIAL!
This one is priced so low it's amazing, and it's only because it's an older model that shows the years of use. The compression is 2.9 and the horn is made of lacquered Rose brass. Finke has a unique design for the leadpipe via the long valve that also acts like tubing (think: Vienna horn). This allows for better intonation given the longer amount of taper available.
Most descant horns sell for well over 5K... grab this one up and you'll be ready to play every Haydn symphony thrown at you.
There are many small dings, lots of lacquer wear, and evidence of re-soldering, but hey!, it's super affordable and plays well!
Finke Gig bag included.
