The Yamaha YHR861 was such a success in it's day that almost 35 years later, Yamaha has decided to resurrect it in the form of the 871, with some changes. Most of the 861's that are being played are being used professionally in orchestras like the Boston Symphony.
This horn is made of unlacquered yellow brass and has an aftermarket Lawson/Alexander ringset installed because the Yamaha ring sets tend to be too lightweight and small. There is evidence of some repair work done on the leadpipe and in fact, a secondary Cantesanu custom pipe is included in the sale. An Amado waterkey has been added as well as an Alexander fingerhook and lever dimes. There are pictures of minor dents which can be seen, but it is in overall good condition.
