This Paxman 25L is an unlacquered yellow brass triple horn that would be a great addition to your horn arsenal. It's got some water marks on it but no dents or scratches and is cosmetically in great shape. On the inside it has a valve compression of 3.9, which given the horn's 5 valves is pretty good. As it stands, the horn stands in F and has two change valves that put it in the key of B flat or high F. The change valves use mechanical minibal linkage to operate, while valves 1,2, and 3 use string linkage. You can very easily switch the B-flat change valve so that you can have the horn sitting in either low F or B-flat. There are spit valves installed off the main tuning branch, F branch, high F branch, and 3rd valve high F valve tube. The bell is detachable and has a Lawson/Alexander bell ring (NOT a Paxman bell ring). The previous owner has installed a string mechanism that allows you to pull on a cord with your thumb and activate 3 of those spit valves without even having to put your horn down (very convenient). A lot of triple horns are especially great in the upper register, but it's worth noting that this one has an awesome low range on the low F side of the horn, but don't take my word for it and test it out yourself! The horn comes with an MB1 detachable bell horn case.
