Mirafone has been in the brass instrument building business for a LONG time - most well known for their high end Tubas. I'll bet you didn't know that they have made many different horns over the decades. This one is an unlacquered yellow brass Single Bb with a built in F extension and a stopping valve. The compression is fabulous reading 0.9. The gorgeous Garland/Krantz on the flare gives this thing power! The F extension means you have the FULL range of the horn at hand (The pedal notes from low C to pedal F). Just look at the gorgeous curves on this horn - it was lovingly made and it sounds like it!
Fixed bell case included.

Mirafone B-Flat w/ F extension
The horn plays beautifully, BUT because it does not have a finger hook, it is uncomfortable to hold. I ordered a Duckfoot from Ken to fix the problem.
