This flare is like the ugly duckling that becomes a swan. It's an unlacquered (recently stripped) Ambronze flare made by Lawson. It spent a long time in storage where the lacquer degraded and caused pitting throughout. It's odd looking, BUT the flare sounds great. Those odd pits are worth about $300 since it would sell for that much more if it was in pristine condition. It's a flare - those pits don't make a darn bit of difference in the sound - so, ultimately you can have an original Lawson flare for a much lower price.
This one has the standard Lawson ringset. The annealing temperate is stamped at 590
