This professionally owned and maintained (played in the Boston Symphony) Horner model Kruspe was the inspiration for the Conn 8D which forever shaped American horn sound. This beautiful example is made of unlacquered nickel and even has the original leadpipe. There are three protective patched around the handguard area and a nylon lever bar has been added to the thumb valve to make it quieter and more efficient. The bell has a garland on it and exquisite engraving (as seen in the photo). These horns are phenomenal examples of craftsmanship. The valves were rebuilt in the past and now have a compression of 1.8.
Green MB2 included.
