In the days before Conn purchased the Holton company they made top notch instruments. These earlier ones, made in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, had nickel plated valves which had a LONG life span. The 1.5 compression (a great number) reflects this. This horn is made of yellow brass (the lacquer has been removed). It was just ultrasonically cleaned and it is a real 'player'. It may not look like much but it certainly sounds like a million bucks. This is a total sleeper!
There are minor dents through out (including many along the edge of the flare) but nothing that affects the playability of the horn. This horn is all original.
Protec fixed bell zippered case included.
