Holton, over its history, has had a few models which many players swear by to this day. One is the Tuckwell model, the other is the Merkermatic. This H176 (Merkermatic) is in excellent condition. The valves are sporting a near perfect valve compression and there are very few dings the body.
Ethel Merker Series.
Holton horns offer an alternative in design that creates a great experience for the young or advanced players. This Kruspe wrap model offers independent tuning for convenience allowing the player to tune the Bb side of the horn seperately from the F side.
This Farkas Wrap horn offers a large throat bronze bell and main branch. The tapered rotors insure a long life.
The Holton Merker-Matic Series Double French Horns were developed in cooperation with Horn legend Ether Merker. The gold brass bell adds greatly to the unique dark sound. Weighted valve caps and an adjustable fingerhook are included. The mechanical linkages are adjustable, and you don't have to worry about broken strings right before a solo!
