Hoyer's new line of double horn, the K10, is a really solid instrument that is being played in Europe, the states, and around the world. The instrument is very responsive and has a gorgeous, deep sound quality with great response in articulation.
The horn is a variation on a Kruspe wrap (the change valve sits on the mouthpiece side of the valve cluster) and the levers utilize mechanical action. There is an adjustable pinky hook and duckfoot soldered on for left hand comfort, as well as a spit valve off the main tuning slide/leadpipe. The leadpipe is screwed on, making it easy to remove and/or replace. The bell is detachable with a Hoyer bell ring. Made with unlacquered rose brass, the valve compression reads at about 3.0. Comes with a detachable bell Hans Hoyer bell case (MB5 style).
