The Ganter family, out of Munchen, was very famous for making orchestral rotary trumpets in all keys. They also made some very high end horns and in fact, Hans Pizka used them to manufacture his famous Pizka line of horns. They are known for having a distinct sound due to their Vienna horn like properties. This is due to the taper of the bell tail and the wide garland on the flare.
This horn is made of lacquered yellow brass and has a sterling silver leadpipe. There is much wear in the lacquer and minor dents here and there. It is all original and has just been cleaned in our shop. It has mechanical linkages which are silent and easily maintained.
It has a compression of 2.4 and a black leather gig bag is included.
