I think that just about every horn player ends up having a 'love affair' with an 8D at some point in their careers. A great 8D is a great horn - amazing dark sound and power to boot!
This one is an N series in good condition with a Lawson Leadpipe. The compression is good at 2.5. Most of the lacquer has worn, and there is evidence of previous bell damage (and subsequent repairs).
I sat next to this horn in one of the sections I played in and know it's dark sound well.
