Elkhart 8D's in good condition are becoming more scarce (and valuable!) by the day. This 1960's horn is made of lacquered nickel. It is ALL original without any modifications. The compression is a 2.9, yet it still plays GREAT.
There is the standard lacquer wear wherever the hands held the horn along with the expected small dings, especially in the bell flare from quick mute changes. The left hand guard has a thin area but NOT the bell tail of the horn at all, thus the body still has all its integrity. This 8D was just cleaned and given a valve service so they are quick and efficient.
If you want to achieve that famous Cleveland horn sound, this is the horn for you.
Fixed bell black case included.
