This Alexander 103 is made of unlacquered yellow brass and has that classic Alex response in the articulations. The valve compression of the horn is great at 1.0 and the overall condition of the horn is very good.
All parts on the horn are original Alexander with the exception of a port for a Clebsch hand strap that has been soldered on. The bell is detachable and has an original Alexander bell ring. There are a couple of patches on the third B-flat slide, but no signs of damage or repair elsewhere. The discoloration that has occurred on the raw brass is completely natural and has no impact on sound production. The horn comes with a Marcus Bonna MB7 detachable bell horn case.
