This Paxman descant is a really cool horn with five valves and an even sound across registers. The horn sits in the key of B flat, and has two thumb valves: one for the key of high F and the other is a stopping valve (push it down and you don't have to transpose while playing stopped horn). The triggers use mechanical minibal linkage whereas valves 1,2, and 3 are all string linkage. The horn is made of unlacquered yellow brass and has a detachable bell and has a large bore, with all original Paxman parts, including a new Paxman leadpipe installed by Ken. It's got a valve compression of about 1.7 and is overall in very good cosmetic shape. Definitely worth checking out if you are interested in a descant! The horn comes with a black MB5 horn case.
