Mr. Lawson was one of the few horn guys/repair guys out there who could raise the value on a horn by adding a leadpipe or slides. His horns are consistently well built, including this one from his earlier days.
Lawson #829 is made of a lacquered nickel silver and is in very good cosmetic condition, with only a few scratches along the bell tail. The bell is detachable and has a Lawson/Alexander bell ring set, and there is a port for a duck foot and a standard pinky hook soldered on for left hand comfort. The valves are in perfect condition with a compression of 0.1. The horn comes with a detachable bell horn case (suitcase style).
In addition, there is an extra Lawson FB 120.125 leadpipe as well as slide extensions/extra slides for the main tuning slides.
