How to Ship a Horn
UPS will only cover damage claims if the horn is shipped in a hard case!
This can be done safely if you follow the following rules
1. Get a Dishbarrel box (18×18x28h) from U-haul, or other distributors
2. Make certain that your horn does NOT move in the case if you shake it. If there is movement put bubble wrap or other soft packing material in the case until the horn is stationary.
3. Put the horn in the box - bell up, making certain that it does not come into contact with any of the sides of the box.
4. Pour in peanuts half way up the height of the box - gently lift the horn so that peanuts will flow under it, then fill it the rest of the way.
5. INSURE your instrument!
These steps will help ensure a safe passage for your horn.
If you do not wish to ship it in the case - simply Wrap the horn in a LOT of bubble wrap (until you can barely see the instrument) then follow steps 3-5.
