The Conn 11D is a large bore Geyer wrap instrument, giving it both a deep, resonant sound and potential for cutting through a thicker texture. It was originally made in 2015 out of lacquered rose brass, but Wes Hatch performed his "conversion" at the end of 2016. He completely replaced the bell (with a Sandner #88 hand hammered bell), bell tail, F branch, and lead pipe.
The horn is in good condition, with an excellent valve compression of 0.4. There are 2 Amado water keys installed on the lead pipe and F branch, and the valve levers use string linkage. There is a pinky hook soldered on for left hand comfort. The horn comes with an MB7 horn case.
